While standing at the lighthouse, Arekku slowly read the love letter, to see if it mentions anything that could give her a clue to who it was from. A few hours later, Aster walked up to her, "Waiting for someone?" he said. Arekku jumped and quickly hid the letter, "Uh..no, not waiting for anyone, especially not a secret admirer who I just got a letter from." she said. Her eyes widened at what she said and she covered her mouth. 'Oh great' Arekku thought, nervously. Aster looked at her, "Is something-" "I'm sorry, Aster, but I have to go now" Arekku cut him off and started running. "Uh...wait...Arekku" Aster called trying to stop her. Arekku didn't stop or turn around, she just kept running pretending she didn't hear him. Aster sighed, "Well, that didn't go the way I thought it would..." he said, looking at a rose he had in his hand. _________________________________________________ Arekku stopped running when she reached the Slifer Dorms. 'Well, wasn't that the dumbest thing you've ever done, Aster might have been the one who wrote this letter' she thought. "Wait...What am I thinking? If he wrote it, it would have mentioned destiny, not crystals..." Arekku corrected herself, not knowing she was thinking out loud. "What were you saying about crystals?" A voice said from behind. Arekku jumped at the sound of the voice and turned around, "Oh, hi Jesse..." she said. "Hi there, now what were you saying?" Jesse asked. "About what?" Arekku asked, blushing slightly. "About 'crystals'." Jesse said. "Oh that....I uh...well, I was just talking about how cool....your crystal beasts are" Arekku lied. "Is something wrong you seem nervous?" Jesse asked. "Well, I just got a letter today, and I was at the lighthouse thinking about it." Arekku explained. "Oh...you did...who's it from?" Jesse asked, holding something behind his back. "I don't know, he didn't write his name, I just know he's someone who-" Arekku stopped herself after seeing Jesse acting kind of nervous. "Someone who...?" Jesse questioned. "Nevermind, anyway could you write something on this for me?" Arekku asked, holding out the purple envolope the letter was in. "uh..Sure, but what should I write?" Jesse said, taking it. "Just the first word that comes to mind." Arekku replied. "um...Okay" Jesse said and started writing. "Hey Jesse, Hi Arekku" Jaden said, come out of his room in the Slifer Dorms. "Hi Jaden" Arekku said. " Hey Jay" Jesse said. "What's going on?" Jaden asked. "A-Arekku got a ...love letter... and she's trying to find out... who it's from." Jesse explained. Arekku nodded. "Hmm? Arekku, if you want to know who it is I could tell you." Jaden said. "You could?" Arekku asked. Jesse was getting even more nervous and tried to think of a way to stop Jaden from saying it. "Yep, It's from-" "Jaden, Didn't we plan to have a duel today?" Jesse asked. "Huh? No, we didn't. I really would remember if we planned anything that has to do with dueling." Jaden said. "Uh oh, Chazz must have hit you on the head again, What are gonna do with him?" Jesse said, starting to pull Jaden away. "What? Chazz didn't hit me. We really didn't plan any-" Jaden sees the look in Jesse's eyes and decides to play along, "-Oh yeah, now I remember so let's go, Jess" Jaden said, running off with Jesse behind him. "Wait, Jesse,....-sigh- he could have given the envolope back before running off." Arekku said, sadly. Jesse laughed nervously. "Jesse....if you don't tell her someone else will get her" Jaden said. "Maybe that wouldn't be so bad" Jesse mumbled. "Uh...who are you and what did you do with my best friend?" Jaden asked. "That's not funny, Jaden..., You know it's me" Jesse said, crossing his arms. "Lighten up, it was just a joke" Jaden explained. "It still wasn't funny" Jesse said. Jaden was looking to the left holding something behind his back. "Hm...? What are you up to?" Jesse asked. "Ask the shadow behind the tree that followed us out here." Jaden said, backing up. "Huh?" Jesse asked, looking at the tree. Arekku looked out from behind it, "Hey..Is there something you want to tell me?" She asked, smiling slightly. "Uh..no-" "Jesse.." Jaden said. "What is it, Jay?" Jesse asked. "Are you missing a card in your deck?" Jaden asked. "Huh? No, of course not..." Jesse replied, taking out his deck and looking through it. It turns out he was missing a card, one of his crystal beasts. "Hey, how did....I thought.....-sighs- ..Jaden..." Jesse said, looking upset. "Yep" He said, holding up the 'Ruby Carbuncle' card. "Give it back, Jay" Jesse said in an annoyed voice. "I will, don't worry, just...tell her" Jaden said, waving the card around. "Is that all you took Ruby for?" Jesse asked. "Hey, don't be so mad, the Crystal Beasts just wanted to help you" Jaden said. Arekku just stood there, watching Jesse.
